Cooking Something Random

I haven't posted in a while.  I don't really have that much to post about.  But I am posting now, I'd like to talk about cooking something random.  You could probably have figured that out from the title of the post.  Recently my dad was coming home late and we hardly had any food in the house.  I was really hungry and wanted soup, as I usually do.  I love soup.  So I looked around my kitchen and found some random things that would go well into soup.

  • Chicken Broth
  • Chicken Breast
  • Broccoli
  • Cooked Pasta
  • Milk
  • Many Different Spices
First I boiled the chicken broth, and while it was boiling I cut up the chicken breast and broccoli.  After the chicken broth seemed to be boiling I added the cut up chicken.  I let that sit for a little bit and then added the broccoli.  Then I added the pasta and some milk for an unknown reason.  Milk just sounded like it would be yummy in it.  Then I raided my spice cabinet and added many random spices to make it tastier.  Broccoli is very sweet, so I added some salt.  From what I can remember I added celery flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, and tons more.

I was honestly expecting it to be totally disgusting, because it didn't come from a recipe, but it was actually fairly good.  My point being that I didn't want to make something without a recipe, but once I tried it I found that I was actually happy I had done it.  Never be afraid to cook something random, because you might find that afterwards you have a bunch of delicious soup.
