The first thing I made was Mulligatawny soup. You can find more info about the book where this recipe came from on my links and books page (or click here lol). It was really good, I heated up some frozen Naan bread for it, because the soup's origin was India and I thought I might reunite the 2. I didn't really use the right rice (I used this lemon flavored rice) because it was the only rice we had in the house, so it tasted lemony, but still good. Normally I use brown rice.
I also made some chocolate pudding, which was really easy, I topped it with some homemade whipped cream and chopped pecans. I don't have a picture, I might add one later, but I forgot to take it. I've made it a couple times before, always really good. Click here for the recipe.
On Sunday I made bread and butter. I've made them both before and the bread was much easier the second time. The bread was delicious, and was granted a special trip to the grocery store for yeast and bread flour. I would not recommend using normal flour, but you probably can, but if your going to make the bread just go all the way. We put the two bread loaves in some old bread bags, so they lookvery official. I like to toast the pieces and put some of my butter on them, the butter tastes just like the stuff you get at the store (as chef john says in the link I will give) but it's still fun to make and a little extra with the bread. Click here for the butter recipe.
This post has taken an unusual amount of time because I've been blasting Bohemian Rhapsody.
